A kick in my belly just reminded me that baby is due in 10 days. At an ultrasound yesterday we learned that he is about 7lbs 8ozs and healthy. The docs will continue to monitor his growth closely since my umbilical cord is a double-vessel cord having only a single umbilical artery and one vein instead of two arteries and one vein. I had a non-stress test on Wednesday indicating that his heart is strong and the ultrasound showed no problems in his kidneys. As long as he continues to get all the nutrients he needs we can wait till he's ready to enter the world. I'll find out next Thursday if we will schedule an induction for the following week.
We are hoping he arrives Wednesday, November 7th. I am teaching all day tomorrow. LZ preaches this weekend and he is helping out as an election official for 15 or so hours on the 6th, so the 7th sounds good. Any other guesses?
